Aaron and I were headed back home with both of the boys asleep in their car seats. I have been wanting to drive to a nearby town Bayou Le Batre, Alabama which is the seafood capitol of AL just to see the boats and stuff. Aaron thought let's go now while the boys are asleep and before we have to get the girls from school. We ended up going to that city and a little farther to Dauphin Island. It is actually only about 25 miles from our house!!
sweet feet in the sand
We all had a great time in the beautiful weather, sun, and sand. We can't believe this is February!! What a change from Indiana!
Aaron is so thoughtful. He picked up some shells for the girls, since they weren't with us.
We had sooo much fun in the sand! We didn't want the girls to miss out, so.... We went home, grabbed some shorts and culottes, and headed to....
As some of you know, I grew up in Hattiesburg, MS. We lived there until just before my 16th birthday, and then we moved to MO. The last time I was there, I was in 11th grade. For me it was "like coming home!" We went to the beach in Pascagoula, which is also about 25 miles from our house.
Aaron was taking a picture of the girls and I. Notice Justus in the background.
Yes, he did! He ran straight into the water. He LOVES water. He cries to get in the bathtub! I grabbed him and we were all laughing hysterically.

What a beautiful place to live, guess who is going to visit you while on furlough hahaha ;). I can't wait to see more photos. We never went to the beaches there. Enjoy it!
What did you end up doing for the girls school? I notice you said they were gone, so I assume you are not homeschooling?
I am so jealous! It is freezing here in West Virginia! I love the beach! It is probably my favorite place to be! The kids look like they had alot of fun! You guys will have a tan before summer!
THAT looks like a FUN day :) maybe the girls and I will visit you this summer :D
Thank you for sharing your wonderful day at the beach. I love the pictures! Remember when you got locked out of the house and were running around in all that snow? What a switch, from running in the snow to a warm sandy beach. The Lord is so good! ;-)
Awww! Sweet home Alabama!
Great pictures... Maybe I should post some pictures of the snowstorm going on here!
Glad you had such a great day with your family!
