The kids were out of school for three days this week. On Tuesday we went back to the beach. First, we drove to Dauphin Island again and walked around an old Civil War fort called Fort Gaines. 
Then we drove our van onto the ferry at Dauphin Island and rode over to Gulf Shores.
We sat on the observation deck.
We looked through the binoculars.
We saw several Exxon-Mobile oil rigs.
We stopped at the souvenir shop to get some beach toys. The sharks mouth was the entrance. The kids loved it.
We had a picnic lunch.
Then we enjoyed our day at the beach looking for seashells, flying a kite, building sand castles, feeding the seagulls, burying each other in the sand, etc...

It was a wonderful day! We will be going back again soon!
